
Digital infographics
Infographics are indispensable in media and corporate communications—and at the same time a particular challenge for information designers and visual communicators. Whether static or interactive, data-driven or manually curated, as video or in VR and AR, in large-scale presentation formats or bite-sized pieces for social media, infographics are meant to convey information in a visually engaging way and make complex data easy to understand. Digital Infographics: What you’ll learn in the webinar The PAGE webinar “Digital Infographics” is aimed at designers who are looking for a comprehensive introduction to contemporary digital visual storytelling. It provides a fundamental understanding of what makes a good infographic and how to achieve convincing results step by step within interdisciplinary teams. Participants receive concrete recommendations and inspiration for the conception and implementation of digital infographics and data visualizations. In two workshop sessions, you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge you’ve gained directly. --> The webinar takes place in the mornings on September 17 and 18 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day, with short breaks, and offers ample time for questions. You can look forward to inspiring keynote talks and breakout sessions, as well as handouts for personal review and follow-up. The number of participants is limited to 20 people. Webinar Agenda Both days begin with presentations in which the experts guide participants through their respective areas of expertise and explain what makes a strong digital infographic. Through a wide range of practical examples, as well as insights into workflows and the handling of data formats and tools, participants are enabled to overcome common challenges in digital information visualization. After extensive Q&A sessions, the program continues with moderated group work. Day 1: Research and Concept Development A) Introduction to the world of infographics --> What can and must an infographic achieve? --> What role do infographics play in journalism and brand communication? B) Research & digital storytelling C) Data analysis and data processing Exercise 1: Using existing data, you will learn how to create sketches, storyboards, and wireframes for a digital infographic or data visualization. Day 2: Implementation and Integration A) Cartography and mapping of information and data B) Translating infographics into digital formats Exercise 2: Using digital templates, you will explore technical possibilities and formats for interaction as well as for integrating infographics.
